Overview:

Wound care is a lot more sophisticated than it used to be. Here's what you should know about assessing and managing chronic wounds.

Purpose/Goal: To provide registered nurses with information to manage wounds better.


Objectives:

1. Explain how to assess a chronic wound.
2. Identify factors that affect wound healing.
3. Describe how to prepare the wound bed.
4. State factors related to the choice and use of dressings.
